Dziś przełomowy moment, bo właśnie dotarliśmy do gminy Londynu, która naszpikowana jest atrakcjami znanymi na całym świecie. A nasze podboje zaczniemy na Trafalgar Square, czyli ogromnego placu z Nelsonem na kolumnie i sławetną galerią sztuki - the National Gallery.
Today we have a crucial moment because we just reached the borough of London which is filled with attractions famous around the world. We'll begin our conquests at Trafalgar Square which is a huge square with Nelson on the column and well-known art gallery - the National Gallery.
Niedaleko znajduje się też Horse Guards Parade, które znacie z tego posta, bo właśnie na nim odbywa się przegląd wojsk z okazji urodzin Królowej, w czym uczestniczyłam w zeszłym roku.
The Horse Guards Parade is pretty close which you already know from this post. It's the place where the troops are gathered because of the Queen's birthday.
Po krótkim spacerze, z Trafalgar Square przenosimy się do Covent Garden, czyli jednej z moich ulubionej części miasta, o ile jest wcześnie rano, bo wtedy cisza i spokój pozwalają na podziwianie fajnych miejsc, potem jest już tylko gwar i tłok.
After a short walk from Trafalgar Square, we're moving to Covent Garden, which is one of my favorite parts of the city. Only if I get there in the morning, though, when it's quiet and empty. Otherwise, you'll have to enjoy cool places in buzz and squash.
A że jesteśmy w okolicy, to wpadniemy na chwilę do Chinatown. Uwielbiam zakupy w tamtejszych sklepikach, bo nigdy nie wiem na co trafię. I tak oto z plastikowej wanienki i trzech proszków powstała panda. A gdybym tylko mogła, to wykupiłabym wszystkie kreatywne japońskie słodycze i zafundowała sobie tym samym ubaw aż po same pachy. Bo sądząc po moich wyczynach z pandą, zabawa jest to przednia.
As we're close, let's pay a visit to Chinatown. I love poping in those Asian shops, browsing through the products. This way I found some sweets from Japan and I formed a panda just with a plastic basin and three packets of powder. If I could, I would buy all the creative Japanese sweets and spent my time in the very funny way. Judging by my experience with the panda, such sweets are pure fun, honestly.
Ludzie często mylą dwa poniższe budynki. Ten pierwszy to Westminster Abby, czyli świątynia anglikańska. Drugi zaś to Westminster Cathedral, czyli świątynia katolicka. Niby różnica w nazwie minimalna, a widziałam wielu turystów, którzy nazwy mylili, trafiali pod Katedrę i narzekali, że w telewizji wyglądała zupełnie inaczej.
People often confuse these two buildings. The first one is the Westminster Abbey which belongs to the Church of England. The second one is the Westminster Cathedral which is the Catholic church. The difference in the name is minimal but I saw some tourists who mixed the names up and complained that the building looks completely different than it was on TV.
Uwielbiam okna wykuszowe, których w Londynie pełno. Chciałabym mieć w takim oknie wygodną kanapę, z której mogłabym obserwować życie miasta.
I love bay windows which are very popular in London. I'd like to have a comfortable sofa in such a window, which I could observe city's life from.
Okolice St James's, Mayfair czy Oxford Street, to nie tylko sklepy i jeszcze raz sklepy. W wielu miejscach warto oczy podnieść wyżej niż poziom witryny sklepowej i pozachwycać się budynkami, w których nasze piękne ciuchy wołają o naszą uwagę.
St James's, Mayfair and Oxford Street areas are not all just about shops and shopping. In many places it's worth raising your eyes slightly above the store level and admire the beautiful buildings, full of posh clothes crying for our attention.

Dopiero co zaczęliśmy naszą wycieczkę po gminie Westminster, a już czas ją zakończyć, ale za to w jakim miejscu. Przenosimy się bowiem do Little Venice, czyli obszaru z uroczymi łodziami nad kanałem Regent's Canal. Idealne miejsce na spacer i powzdychanie jakby to było, gdyby tak wszystko nagle rzucić i rozpocząć alternatywne życie na łodzi.
We've just started our tour around the borough of Westminster but it's time to finish it now. Let's go to our last location - the Little Venice which is the area with lovely canal boats on the Regent's Canal. It's the perfect place for a walk and thinking what would happen, if you just stop doing what you do and start an alternative life in the houseboat.
