London Borough of Haringey

Wybaczcie moją przerwę w blogowaniu, wierzcie lub nie, zapchane zatoki i ból głowy nie idą w parze z kreatywnością. Ale koniec tego biadolenia, czas na małą wycieczkę po londyńskiej gminie Harningey, gdzie spędziłam niewiele czasu, ale za to jakże owocnego. Wiem też, że jeżeli kiedykolwiek ponownie odwiedzę Londyn, to z pewnością będę chciała odwiedzić owe okolice ponownie. To teraz wyjaśnię, co mnie tam tak zauroczyło...najpierw odwiedziłam Muswell Hill Broadway, czyli główną ulicę tej okolicy, pełnej uroczych budynków i małych sklepików. A co ciekawe, jeżeli wejdzie się w odpowiednią boczną uliczkę, to oczom odwiedzających ukazuje się cudowny widok - panorama Londynu!

Forgive me, please, my little blogging gap, believe it or not, nasty cold that goes with headache is not creativity's best friend. Let's finish this moaning right now, it's time for a little trip to London Borough of Harningey, where I sadly spent little time, but a really productive time. I also know now that if I ever visit London again, I will definitely visit that area again. I should probably explain what is so charming about the place, well...I visited Muswell Hill Broadway, the main street of the area which is full of those charming town houses and those small shops. And what's cool, if you step into the proper side road, the visitor will have an unique chance to see a stunning view - the skyline of London!

Po zaliczeniu wielu ochów i achów nad widoczkami, udałam się w stronę Alexandra Park, aż dotarłam do Alexandra Palace. Cały żart polega na tym, że pałac, choć ma szlachecką nazwę, nie służy ważnym ludziom do mieszkania, a jedynie jest miejscem wielu targów i wystaw. Park zaś jest miejscem idealnym na sobotnie nicnierobienie, pełen pagórków, polan, takich pięknych, zielonych trawników, które aż się proszą o piknik, leżenie i czytanie, czy znaleźć chwilę na usportowienie się, a no i można też popatrzeć z góry na Londyn.

After a quick visit to the Broadway and loads of delights over the lovely views, I set off towards Alexandra Park where I also got to the Alexandra Palace. The cool fact is that the palace, although it has a noble name, is not a place for important people to live, but only a building where many fairs take place. The park is the ideal place for a typical doing-nothing-on-Saturday. It's full of beautifully green lawns which ask you to picnic on them, lay down in a sun or exercise a little bit or all you can do is to watch the skyline of London again.
