London Borough of Islington

Chyba dopiero teraz zaczynam żałować, że nie poznałam gminy Islington bardziej dokładnie, bo znajduje się tam wiele uroczych zakątków. Mam nadzieję, że kiedyś będę miała okazję to nadrobić, a tymczasem pokażę tam jej mały fragment, czyli Camden Passage, pełen sklepów z antykami i wyrobami ręcznymi. Po przedostaniu się przez ciasne przejście między kamienicami, naszym oczom może też się ukazać miejsce pełne uroczych niespodzianek, bo w środy i soboty, w tejże uliczce odbywa się targ staroci. A sądząc po tym, co zobaczyłam, to można tam wygrzebać naprawdę niezłe kwiatki, trzeba tylko dobrze poszukać! Co tu dużo mówić, zobaczcie sami. A, mnie najbardziej podoba się słodki misio-balerina, a wam?

I reckon I've am just started to regret that I didn't explore the borough of Islington more accurately. I've discovered some lovely places in there recently. I hope I will have the opportunity to visit them one day. I still have a small piece of Islington to show you which is the Camden Passage, full of antique shops and cute shops. After passing through the narrow passage, you enter a totally different world with many surprises, because on Wednesdays and Saturdays, that place turns into an antiques market. If you let me judge it by what I saw, I think you can truly dig loads of interesting items there if you hunt for them precisely. Check it out. Oh, I adore the cute ballerina teddy the most, how about you?

Ta sowa sprawia, że czuję się winna/That owl makes me feel guilty

Islington gości również jedną z paru cukierni Hummingbird Bakery, którą poznałam poprzez książkę kucharską, która należała do mojej byłej rodziny goszczącej. Zachęcona przepięknym wydaniem, postanowiłam sprawdzić, co mają do zaoferowania u siebie i przyznaję, ich red velvet cupcake, na który się skusiłam, był świetny. I do tego to rozkoszne pudełko.

Islington also hosts one of five Hummingbird bakeries in London, which I discovered through their cookbook which belonged to my ex-host family. Encouraged by that stunning book, I wanted to check what they can really offer. I must admit their red velvet cupcake, which I had, was fabulous. And the takeaway box is so adorable, aw.
