Amsterdam Jordaan

Nasza wędrówka po Amsterdamie dobiega dzisiaj końca. Pozostała mi do pokazania wam ostatnia porcja zdjęć. Tym razem wybierzemy się w okolicę zwaną Jordaan. Gdybym miała wybrać moje ulubione miejsce w całym Amsterdamie, to bez wahania wybrałabym właśnie to. Kiedyś dzielnica biedna, robotnicza, dziś bardziej modna. Znana jest z artystycznego klimatu, wielu fajnych knajpek i targów. To też dzielnica nad którą góruje wieża z kościoła Westerkerk (np. na drugim i trzecim zdjęciu), w którym to pochowany jest wielki Rembrandt. Taak, Jordaan ma niesamowity klimat, a jeszcze piękna dodają mu pnące się kwiaty i inne zieleniny po ścianach tamtejszych kamienic. Jeżeli więc nie byliście w tej części Amsterdamu, to mam nadzieję, że poniższe zdjęcia choćby trochę zachęcą was do zwiedzenia tej okolicy. A jeżeli byliście, to dajcie znać, czy Jordaan też was tak zauroczył jak mnie :)

Our journey across Amsterdam comes to an end today. I've got a very last part of photos to share with you. This time we are going to see the area called Jordaan. If I had to choose my favorite place in the whole city, I would do for Jordaan with no hesitation. In the past it was a poor, working-class district, now it's pretty posh. It's known for its artistic atmosphere with lots of nice cafes and markets. It's also an area where the skyline is dominated by the Westerkerk's tower (e.g. in the second or third picture). By the way, Westerkerk is a church in which the one and only Rembrandt was buried. Yeah, Jordaan has an amazing vibe. It's even more beautiful with all those flowers and other green stuff trailing over the walls. So if you haven't been to this part of Amsterdam, I hope that these photos will encourage you to do so.
